Volleyball Jamboree

Last month Jordyn and Karli played in their first volleyball Jamboree. Karli's team did pretty well; they took 2nd place. Jordyn's team didn't do as great; they came in last place, but they had alot of fun. It was an all day event; games were played throughout the entire day. And, we have another one this Saturday. The girls are looking forward to it. I was recruited to coach Karli's team. The original coach stopped showing up. I am excited and nervous about it at the same time. I haven't played volleyball since high school and since then, the rules have changed. Wish us all good luck!

My nephew is the bomb!

My nephew, Cutler was recently on the news for shaving his head. There is a girl in his school class who has cancer was going thru chemo and she lost some of her hair. She was nervous to go to school so Cutler decided to shave his head so she wouldn't be alone. Other kids in the class then decided to shave their heads, too. Cutler is the sweetest boy and is so easy going and will do anything for anybody. He is such a great example to his other cousins. We love you Cutler and we are so proud of you!

Fifth-Graders Show True Meaning Of Friendship

01-30-2009 7:15 AM
(Las Vegas, NV) -- When a class of local fifth-graders learned that one of their classmates, Elizabeth Hoke, had cancer they decided to stand right along with her. Elizabeth had missed several months of school while undergoing chemotherapy and had lost most of hair. Her classmate, Cutler Leavitt thought he would shave his head so that she'd fit in, thinking it would be a nice thing to do. It quickly spread to the whole class. Elizabeth's father says that it has made her more at ease. He also says that her cancer was caught early and the family is very optimistic.<

Volleyball

Jordyn and Karli started playing volleyball for a club team and they absolutely love it. Jordyn is doing exceptionally well; she is the best outside hitter on her team. They call her "The Beast." I am so glad that they enjoy playing volleyball. I played in high school and loved it. Sometimes we geet together with the entire family and go the high school and play and have so much fun together. I can't wait until they start playing in tournaments and we can cheer them on. Go eNVy!

Happy Birthday Chase!

Today is Chase's 6th birthday. Happy Birthday, Chase. I took cupcakes and goodie-bags into his school class this afternoon and that was alot of fun. Chase loves school and is a very good student. His teacher calls him her "go to" guy because whenever she needs something Chase knows where to find it.

Chase is our youngest child and our only son. We love him very much and he brings so much joy to our lives. Our family would not be complete without him. :)

We have joined the blogging world!

After thinking about it for quite some time and after my kids talked me into it, we have decided to try the blogging thing. Karli has designed our blog; I don't have the patience to sit down and figure it out like she does. I think she did a great job. We need to get some pictures put on our blog and will work on that soon. But, we are here!
